Sign-up privacy notice

This covers optional buyer feedback, the Car Cleanup Brush availability sign-up and the earlier “Get launch details” sign-up on the Coat & Cabin concept pages. For anything else, see the store’s privacy policy.

Optional buyer feedback

If you choose to answer the optional car-cleanup questions, we save your answers, the question wording and version, your answer to the US pet question if you gave one, the page and any campaign tags of the visit, the time, and whether it was an internal test by the store operator.
No name or email is asked for, and we do not add your IP address. Please leave personal information out of your answers. It is saved as one entry in the store admin inbox, labelled as buyer feedback, and used only to assess this product. It does not sign you up for email, is never used to contact you, and does not depend on analytics cookies.

Car Cleanup Brush availability sign-up

What is saved: the email you enter, that you ticked the box (it starts unticked) with its exact wording, “Email me once when this brush is available.”, the wording version, and the times you ticked it and submitted.
Also saved: your answer to the optional cleanup-situation question and to the US pet-owner question if you gave them, the page you signed up on, the page you first landed on, and any campaign tags in the link you used (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term).
Whether the sign-up was an internal test by the store operator.
How it is used: only to email you once when the brush is available to order. No other marketing. Signing up is not an order and no payment is taken.
Where it is saved: one entry in this store’s contact-form inbox, which only the store operator can view in the store admin. Your browser also keeps a scrambled (one-way) form of the email so the same browser does not save a second entry.

Interest-page visit count (only with analytics cookies)

If you accepted optional analytics cookies and you answer “Yes, that is me” to the US pet question on the Car Cleanup Brush page or an interest page, we save one anonymous visit record so we can count qualified visits. Answering “No”, or not accepting analytics cookies, saves no record.
What it contains: a random visit ID created in your browser tab, the page and any campaign tags of the visit, the time, and whether it was an internal test by the store operator. It contains no email address, name or other contact details, and we do not add your IP address to it.
At most one record per page per browser tab. It is kept in the same store admin inbox, labelled as an analytics event. It is not a sign-up, is never used to contact anyone and is not counted as one.
Because it holds no contact details, it cannot be looked up by your email. You can stop future records by declining analytics cookies through Manage cookies.

Earlier concept sign-up: what is saved

The email address you enter.
That you ticked the consent box (it starts unticked), its exact wording, “Email me when this Coat & Cabin concept has confirmed contents, price and availability. This is not an order.”, and the time you ticked it and submitted.
The version of that wording you agreed to. Sign-ups made before the concept was renamed Coat & Cabin are kept exactly as recorded, with the wording shown at the time.
The concept page you signed up on and any campaign tags in its link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term).
Whether the sign-up was an internal test by the store operator.

Earlier concept sign-up: where it is saved

Each sign-up is saved as one entry in this store’s contact-form inbox, which only the store operator can view in the store admin.
Submitting again with the same email creates another entry.

Earlier concept sign-up: how it is used

Only to email you once this Coat & Cabin concept has confirmed contents, price and availability.
Not for general marketing, newsletters or automated campaigns.
Signing up is not an order. Nothing is reserved or charged, and the proposed $24.95 price may change.

Withdraw your sign-up

Enter the email you signed up with. Your request is saved in the same inbox, and the store operator deletes all your Coat & Cabin sign-up entries for that email, including brush availability sign-ups and any made before the rename. This is done by hand, so it is not instant, but withdrawal requests are checked before any launch-details or brush availability email is sent, so you will not be sent either email.
